This first meeting of the polyproto-chat working group is about setting expectations, getting to know other participants just a bit and about deciding some of the organizational processes that make this whole "working group" thing work.
A precise date, time and the virtual place (link) have not yet been decided. The meeting will take place between July 17th and July 23rd.
**Prior knowledge:** You do not need to know about details of polyproto and how the protocol works to attend this working group meeting. You also do not need advanced technical knowledge (programming, encryption, ...).
**Scheduled duration:** about 80 minutes
**Meeting language:** English

### Welcome and context-setting

- Brief explanation of why polyproto-chat exists as a separate thing
### Role call and hellos
- **Timebox:** 15min
- What to include and whether to participate is purely optional
- Short introduction of self
- Background? Hobbies? Favorite plushie? :3
- What interests you personally most about this WG/project? (Making things accessible, plurality support, MLS/Encryption, just swimming along, ...)
### Meeting cadence and format
- **Timebox:** 20min
- How often do we meet synchronously?
- How long should these synchronous meetings be?
- Do we take minutes? If yes, where? Where do we publish them, if at all?
- Fixed meeting roles or variable meeting roles?
### Decision making process

### Communication channels and record-keeping
